Home Place Furniture opened in 2007 on Highway 49 and has since been providing Northeast Arkansas with only the highest quality furniture. The Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomed the business to the community with a ribbon cutting Friday.
Home Place Furniture is located on border of Greene and Craighead counties. The owners’ family used the land for farming and decided to try new things there.
“This is my husband’s home place,” said Judy McLaughlin, co-owner of Home Place Furniture. “They bought this farm over 70 years ago. We decided that with all of the traffic in the area, we’d go into a new endeavor.”
McLaughlin owns the business along with her husband Larry. Their sons Todd and Rodney are employed as salesmen. She has experience in retail as an antiques salesman and wanted to continue in the retail arena.
“We opened August 28,” McLaughlin said. “Business has been good. It’s been better than our expectations.”
Home Store Furniture is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Deliveries are also available, McLaughlin said.
“We’re still in the learning curve and we’re adding new things daily,” she said.
